Polygraph Exams

NYS Investigation Services use the Lafayette Computerized Polygraph Instruments (model LX4000) when conducting truth verification exams.  We do not use the Psychological Stress Evaluator (voice stress analyzer) which is prohibited for use by employers in New York State as defined in the New York Labor Law sections 733 & 735. 

All exams are confidential.

General Public – We offer a wide variety of polygraph exams to include, but are not limited to, civil, criminal and infidelity tests. 

Businesses –  Employers that have a strong belief that an employee is stealing from their business will benefit from our exams. NYS INV meets the requirements issued by the United States Department of Labor's Employee Polygraph Protection Act to administer employee polygraph exams, and can assist businesses in retrieving their economic loss. 

Government Agencies – We conduct pre-employment, criminal and probation polygraph exams to law enforcement, military personnel and other government entities throughout New York State.
